Notification Priority

Every notification has a priority level:

PriorityUsed for
LowInformational updates, minor reminders
MediumStandard due date reminders and updates
HighApproaching deadlines, overdue tasks
UrgentCritical issues needing immediate action

Viewing Notifications

Tap the bell icon in the toolbar to open the Notification Centre. Notifications are organised into three tabs:

  • All — every notification
  • Unread — notifications you haven’t seen yet (with badge count)
  • Urgent — high and urgent priority only

Each notification shows its type, priority, related entity (project, task, client, or invoice), the suggested action, and when it’s due.

Acting on Notifications

From the notification detail you can:

  • Mark as Read — clears the unread badge
  • Snooze (1 hour) — hides the notification temporarily and surfaces it again later
  • Dismiss — removes it from the list permanently

Notification Preferences

Go to Settings → Notification Preferences to control what you receive:

  • Enable or disable specific notification types
  • Set the minimum priority level for notifications (e.g. only Medium and above)
  • Configure quiet hours so notifications are suppressed at certain times

Smart Notifications

Kwilio Projects analyses your data in the background to generate context-aware notifications. For example:

  • Tasks approaching their due date with no status change
  • Projects that haven’t been updated in a while
  • Invoices that are past their due date
  • Shared tasks that have just been assigned to you

Background analysis runs every 15 minutes on iOS. On macOS, analysis runs when the app is in the foreground or during periodic background refreshes.

Team Notifications

When a project is shared (see Team Collaboration):

  • Task assignments trigger a notification for the assignee
  • Task completions notify the project owner
  • New comments notify all project participants

These are delivered as local notifications via the iOS/macOS notification system.
