How Reminders Work
Kwilio Bills Pro sends you a notification before each bill is due. The timing is based on how often the bill recurs — more frequent bills get shorter lead times, less frequent bills get longer ones:

Enabling Notifications
Before reminders can be sent, you need to grant notification permission:
- Go to Settings → Notifications
- If the status shows Not Authorised, tap Open Notification Settings
- Enable notifications for Kwilio Bills Pro in iOS/macOS Settings
- Return to the app — the status will update to Authorised
Turning on a Reminder for a Bill
Reminders are set per bill:
- Open the Bills tab and tap a bill (or create a new one)
- Tap Edit
- Toggle Reminder on
- Choose the time of day you want to be notified
- Tap Save
The reminder will fire automatically on each upcoming occurrence, based on the lead time table above.
Turning off a Reminder
- Open the bill and tap Edit
- Toggle Reminder off
- Tap Save
Any pending notifications for that bill are cancelled immediately.
Custom Reminder Time
When you enable a reminder, you can pick exactly what time of day the notification fires. Choose a time that fits your routine — first thing in the morning, at lunch, or in the evening.
Apple Intelligence — Intelligent Notifications
With Apple Intelligence enabled, Kwilio Bills Pro can send smarter, more personalised reminders based on your usage patterns. Rather than a fixed schedule, intelligent notifications can adapt to when you’re most likely to act on them.
To enable:
- Go to Settings → Apple Intelligence
- Toggle Apple Intelligence on
- Ensure Intelligent Notifications is listed as an active feature
Troubleshooting
I’m not receiving notifications
- Check that notifications are authorised: Settings → Notifications
- Make sure the individual bill has the Reminder toggle enabled
- Check iOS/macOS Focus modes — they can suppress notifications from apps
Notifications are arriving at the wrong time
- Open the bill, tap Edit, and verify the reminder time is set correctly
- If you recently changed a bill’s recurrence, save it again to regenerate the notification schedule
