Apple Intelligence & Siri

Overview

Kwilio Bills Pro is built for Apple Intelligence. When enabled, the app gains four AI-powered capabilities — all processed on-device, with no data sent to external servers.

Enabling Apple Intelligence

  1. Go to Settings → Apple Intelligence
  2. Toggle Apple Intelligence on
  3. Confirm when prompted

Once enabled, the four features below activate automatically.

Smart Categorisation

Where: Bill form — triggers as you type

When you add a new bill, Kwilio Bills Pro analyses the bill name and amount and suggests the most relevant category. For example:

  • Type “Netflix” → suggests Entertainment
  • Type “Electricity” → suggests Utilities
  • Type “Gym” → suggests Health

Tap the suggestion to accept it, or tap the category field to pick a different one. The suggestion improves over time as you accept or correct it.

Intelligent Notifications

Rather than sending reminders at a fixed schedule, Intelligent Notifications adapt to when you’re most likely to act on them — based on when you normally open the app and mark bills paid.

This feature works alongside the per-bill reminder you set in the Bill form. The timing adjusts; the lead time (3 days for monthly bills, etc.) stays the same.

Smart Insights

The Insights screen gains three extra AI layers when Apple Intelligence is enabled:

  • Spending pattern summaries — plain-language descriptions of your trends
  • Budget recommendations — suggestions for bills to review or reduce
  • Bill predictions — forecasts for variable-amount bills

Siri Integration

Use Siri to interact with your bills hands-free. All commands must include “Kwilio Bills” or “in Kwilio Bills” so Siri knows which app to use.

Example Commands

Check what’s due:

“What bills are due this month in Kwilio Bills?” “Ask Kwilio Bills what’s due this week”

Check spending:

“How much did I spend this month in Kwilio Bills?” “Ask Kwilio Bills for my spending this year”

Mark a bill paid:

“Tell Kwilio Bills to mark my electric bill as paid”

Add a new bill:

“Add a new bill to Kwilio Bills”

Using Siri from the App

You can also use the Siri integration view inside the app:

  1. Open Settings → Siri
  2. Type or speak a command in the input field
  3. See the response inline — useful when you want to try commands without activating Siri system-wide

App Shortcuts

Kwilio Bills Pro supports App Shortcuts — meaning Siri commands work without you having to set them up first. Just speak naturally and Siri handles the routing.

AI Bill Chat

Kwilio Bills Pro includes an AI chat interface for creating bills using natural language:

  1. Tap the AI button when adding a bill
  2. Describe the bill in plain language:

    “Monthly Netflix subscription, $15.99, billed on the 8th”

  3. The AI extracts the details and fills in the bill form for you
  4. Review the pre-filled form and tap Save

This is handy for quickly adding multiple bills — just describe them conversationally rather than filling in each field manually.

Privacy

All Apple Intelligence processing in Kwilio Bills Pro happens on-device using Apple’s private AI infrastructure. No bill data, amounts, or spending patterns are sent to Kwilio’s servers or any third party. Disabling Apple Intelligence in the app does not affect your data.
